A person who is enthusiastic to develop perseverance in himself is a person who has a big potential to achieve greatness in life. It is an important ingredient in holistic development. In the absence of perseverance, we can be likened to an empty shell without a pearl. Remember that when our minds is filled with self motivation and real perseverance we have a great opportunity to achieve our ultimate goals in life. Therefore, developing perseverance is as substantial as the air that we breath; for in the absence of air we would of course paralyze our total being.
To think, It is through self motivation and perseverance that many personalities throughout history, in their respective societies have dealt to get to their positions. It is the art of trying again, and again, and again after several failures that is the manifestation of real perseverance and self motivation.
In many instances, we are not able to make certain things work after making the first attempt, but with the second try, the third try and so on, eventually the goal is achieved. So when the question ‘what does perseverance mean’ is posed– point to the art of trying again, and again and again until we get what we were looking for.
How is personality development and perseverance related? Well, we can state things this way : the cause and effect or the other way around.
